ORIGAMI!!

so i have a new obsession, yes, origami!

i cant even vaguely remember how it came about but i decided to do some origami and i remembered years ago we had an asian lodger who made this big ball thingy and she gave it to me and i used to take bits out then put them back, so of course, thats what i wanted to to do! i found out its called modular origami (which is when i uses more than one bit of paper) and after much searching i FINALLY found some instructions i could understand which i now appear to have misplaced ..

anyway started small...

then worked on something bigger! it was a bloody nightmare trying to get it together it kept coming out all lopsided like below!

FINALY managed to get it right, and put it where it was made to go

over a light!

then i learnt how to make lotuses...

so whacked out a couple of them...

and after several attempts made a crane! oh yeh!

and a pretty little flutter by!

hehe yay!

its awesome but i dont do in one per day, i do it when i have time/feel like it, and i found it after it had already started so im only on like prompt 10.. but i will post them some time soon.

you should join in if you can, it will be an awesome thing to have to look back on, and i look foreword to looking through other peoples :)

peanut butter cupcakes

so i had some eggs, and i figured it was a perfect excuse to get making some cupcakes! but i fancied something a bit different so i found a peanut butter recipe, they where pretty good, but i think could have done with MORE peanut butter and a bit less butter cream, i always get a bit carried away with icing, i forget that i dont actually like the way it tastes much and get really obsessed with trying to make them look right!

anyway, used some of mully's present's to create these little wonders, still havent got myself a piping bag but it is very much on the to buy list! as is cup cake trays! stupid fall-ie down squashed cupcakes is getting boring!

ANYWAY! here's a couple of pics:

unfortunately mully didnt eat to try this bad boy coz i didnt see him for agers :( even though he doesnt like cake i would have made him try it!

i recently also made some cup cakes, where i replaced the butter with stewed apple, just a bit of experimenting, they worked pretty well but went bad a bit quicker than i'd hoped! but i'd run out of icing sugar so those ones where decorated so i didnt photograph them..

presents from Allemand!

my LOVELY 'husband' went of on a road trip (well actually he went to dreamhack which is a computer-ie festival thingy in sweden, and he road tripped to get there). ANYWAY despite the fact he was only away for a little while i missed him lots!

but he bought me presents! and he had lots of fun, so i forgave him :)

these where his presents:

it was pretty funny, he was like, umm i dont really know wat they are but they say baking on the label, lols :) bless.

soo top ones are chocolate four leaf clovers and the other ones (as seen below) are letters made out of some sugar paste type ness.

(its says ella, but u cant tell :( )

so i shall have to get baking :D

oh and Allemand means German in french.. i dont know why i put it, although i do from time to time slip into french... and arabic... and an irish accent which is mostly funny because i am neither french, arabic or irish!

patchwork quilt

so i decided that undoing all my work to add in another few cm so my blanket could lie flat was silly . Seeing as the blanket is bigger than my bed anyway, you cant tell, so sod it!

i've slept under a few times coz its been kinda hot, and it is LUSH! so here are some photos :)

ok, so forgive my tip of a room (thats actually tidy for me!) and yes, that is a winnie the poo pillow case, but its proper old school, had it for as long as i can rember

i've been a bad blogger!

Despite the fact i've actually been crafting quite a lot (and taking photos of it all!) i haven't posted in forever which is rather silly!

but i figured, 2 in the morning, why not organize my photos and post some shiz!.. whilst nom noming on some fruit and fiber straight from the box.. mm tasty, and strangely satisfying considering how healthy it is!
